History
The Houston Polymer Clay Guild and had
our first meeting in May, 1995. Originally, we were just a
handful of clay enthusiasts meeting at a fellow member's studio.
We'd amassed a mailing list of almost a dozen people when
the second Embellishment show came along in 1996 -- this time
held in Houston. Imagine our surprise when our show booth
was mobbed with wild women (and men) who wanted to join! Our
mailing list jumped to more than 300 people, literally overnight.
Now we've got a lively membership of just over 50 people,
spanning a broad spectrum of interests and abilities. Some
of us make jewelry; some create figures and dolls; others
craft boxes, tiles, frames -- you name it. We meet the third
Saturday of every month.
Members
We've got beginners and we've got experts
and everyone in between. We tailor our meetings and activities
to match our members' variety; there's something for everyone,
and it's not just about beads!
In addition to the beauty
of shared inspiration, the practical advantages of tips and
techniques and the pure fun of visiting every month with a
bunch of creative people -- we offer concrete, save-you-money
benefits to our HPCG members.
Membership fees
in the Houston Polymer Clay Guild are $25.00 per year.
Please
visit the membership section if you would like to join the
guild.
