Fundamentals of Caning
Whether you're just beginning your journey with polymer clay or you'd like to get back to basics, this workshop will
offer an overview of assembling basic canes. We will begin with bullseyes, stacked canes, and jellyrolls, and
progress to increasingly involved configurations.
The class will be held at Bayou Manor, our usual meeting locale, on Saturday, February 27 from 10am till 4pm in the
meeting room on the 7th floor. Bring a lunch (there's a refrigerator in the room) for the break. The cost for the day
is $40 payable to Betsy Fraser. To register, email me directly at bblfraser@aol.com.
A complete supply list will be
provided after you've registered, but basically you'll need to bring your standard clay supplies (pasta machine,
work surface, blade, acrylic roller) and clay (please use a firm clay such as Fimo Classic or Kato). There is a
limit of 8 people for the class.
In addition to learning these techniques, you'll also enjoy seeing what the same patterns can yield from the
various color selections as we all put our collective creativity to work. Hope to see you there!
