April 2007 Board Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Bob Wiley

The Treasurer reported that there was $8656.00 in the guild account, and notified the board that we made a profit at the retreat.

Ronalyn will be mailing out membership cards to members whose memberships are valid from August 2006 to August 2007. All other members will receive membership cards upon renewal.

There was discussion of instituting a $20 honorarium for whoever does the monthly demos. Betsy moved, and Ronalyn seconded, the motion. Motion passed unanimously. The guild will now allot $20 for each months demo, to be given to the presenter to use as they wish.

Rebecca has agreed to conduct the demo at the May meeting.

Discussion was held as to hosting of Sharilyn Miller. Betsy has volunteered to host her.

Meg is working on getting Marla Frankenberg, and some other guest artists, to conduct workshops for our guild.

The board has decided that we should strive for 2 well-known, and 2 lesser-known, artists per year.

Much discussion was held regarding the website. The board rejected the bid from Americas Link. We will attempt to build a new website ourselves. The board has allocated up to $100 for the purchase of templates, if necessary.

Bob will get upload information from Emily, and Rebecca and Meg will work on the new construction.
The new website will include:

The ability to pay via paypal
At least five pages, to include a “Contact us” page, Photo gallery page, News page, membership page with membership form and a Library Catalog/policy page.

Meg is working on setting up a color blending clay day.
