Things to Bring:
Clay
For the "old" Damascus cane, you should have three or more sheets of clay on a medium setting of your pasta machine.
You will want contrasting butg compatible colors. I have used Gold, Purple, and Green for a Mardi Gras look.
I have also use Skinner blends using gold to red and light blue to dark blue for a "Fire and Ice" effect.
For the Stroppel cane, you should bring one package of black clay, conditioned, and
some leftover clay (scrap, but not mud) in colors that coordinate with each other. You will need about 2 oz. (one package) or the scrap clay.
work surface
pasta machine
acrylic roller or brayer
clay blade
ruler or clay marker
Plastic wrap to transport your clay home.
